AB1127 Glock Ban effective July 1, 2026: prohibits firearms dealers from transferring or selling NEW pistols that have cruciform trigger bars (if your pistol can take a Glock switch or similar backplate device to run full-auto). This includes all Glocks that are currently on the California roster of "safe firearms" and Glock clones such as Shadow Systems handguns. Private party transfers through an FFL will remain legal for used Glocks.
AB28 Firearms and ammunition Excise tax eff. July 1, 2024: Ammunition and firearm purchases incur an additional 11% "sin" tax.
